About Me:
In my mid 50's, fit and healthy, I work as a self employed Live in Carer for private clients in their own homes on a temporary basis for situations such as respite care, relief cover, post operative, hospital discharge clients and travel assistance. My experience over 26 years of nursing and 10 years of doing this type of nursing care includes dementia, stroke, cancer, end of life, palliative, PEG feeding, indwelling catheter care, continence issues, wound healing, COPD, autoimmune diseases, mobility issues, orthopaedics and emotional support and companionship. I am happy to get stuck in and do cooking, light cleaning and housework, drive clients to appointments and outings, walk the dog and all of those other things that need doing on a daily basis in the home. I enjoy a wide range of topics and love to listen to stories of the past and look at old photographs, chat about current affairs, play cards, do crosswords, go for walks or drives or out for lunch or to the shops. Calm and sensible with a good sense of humour, I am reliable and flexible. Please don't hesitate to contact me for a chat.

Interests
Food: Mediterannean, English, French, Asian, meat, poultry and seafood, fresh vegetables. Able to cook most dishes although baking is not my strongest skill!
Music: Varied.
TV: Documentaries, Quizz programmes, Animal programmes, News, current affairs, Gardening, tennis, rugby, antiques, some dramas (non violent).
Films: Comedies, dramas, old movies.
Books: I enjoy a wide range of topics - biographies, history, travel, fiction and non fiction.
Days Out: Visiting properties, museums, gardens, shopping, eating out, walking.
Other Interests: Painting, knitting (very basic), gardening, learning French, cooking, dog walking.
