About Me:
I enjoy working with the elderly as I find you learn so much interesting facts about how life was different to now. In my spare time I love watching documentaries especiallly ones about crime which led me to complete a degree in criminology, nevertheless I also enjoy history and wildlife documentaries. I'm a massive football fan and love watching games both live as well as on television. I've been doing care on and off for over 10years and believe the best way to deliver excellent standards is to treat each individual I care for as if I was caring for a loved one. As a carer I take confidently very serious, much like when I'm delivering care I make sure each individual I care for has their needs met to a personal and individual level.

My experience within a care setting is mainly elderly I've done working in a nursing home but the majority of my career in care has been in domicilary care which I much prefer as it allows for the individual being cared for to remain at home around family as well as allowing a more individual care package in that they can eat, get dressed or get up as an when they feel whereas a care home these needs are more restricted due to how they are ran.

Care qualifications I studied Health and Social Care 2 while at college and have done my NVQ 2 in Care while working for a private care company. I recently completed a degree in criminology.
Interests
Food: My favourite dish is spaghetti bolognaise and enjoy most meals with pasta. I also enjoy Indian and of course the great British dish fish and chips.
Music: My music taste varies I enjoy anything from pop and r'n'b to a bit of Dolly Parton.
TV: Crime documentaries, love coronation street, football.
Films: I enjoy comedy, action, horrors...a few of my favourites are pretty women, the colour purple, die hard and Rocky.
Books: The colour purple
Days Out: Going to watch football live, going to the local farm with family or the beach in nice weather. Eating out.
Other Interests: Enjoy camping, walks through the countryside
