About Me:
For years I have worked with vulnerable adults and some children. Most of these people had a disability or an illness, and some just needed assistance with general day to day tasks. I love working with people, helping them, and making a positive difference to their lives. The human mind and behaviours fascinate me, particularly those with mental health problems. I could not imagine a more rewarding career than to support and help those people to change their lives for the better. I am currently attending a Level 2 functional skills course in English which I will have completed by the end of the current academic year. I received a GSCE B in maths and a D in English. I have excellent communication and listening skills and I enjoy problem solving. I take pride in my appearance, punctuality, and organisation. Having worked in job roles such as team leader and care co-ordinator, I have the skills to assess, develop and motivate individuals. All my work was completed to deadlines and targets. I mostly spend my spare time with my family. I enjoy swimming, singing, dancing, and cooking. I am a reliable, honest, and hard-working individual and believe that I can make a significant contribution given the skills and experience I have gained.
