About Me:
From a young age I always wanted to care for people, and help them achieve their potential in life, whatever that may be. I care deeply for people being given the right to choose what they want in respect of care service options and being given the means to choose what works for them.I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1981, but have not been registered for many years, but the knowledge and experience gained by that remains with me today. I have been working as a self employed personal assistant/carer for the last two years in the Argyll and Bute region, but am planning to move to Inverness/Beauly area early in 2022, to be nearer my son and daughter and 2 year old granddaughter.

I have undertaken a diverse amount of training from First Aid, Moving and Handling,Fire Safety, Risk Assessment and numerous others, which may need updating in some cases, but the experience gained from these remains valid.
Interests
Food: I enjoy cooking,and one of my more recent jobs was as a cook/caterer. The company I worked for was very focussed on ensuring that (mainly elderly/dementia sufferers, vulnerable adults) were enabled to have good nutritional meals, delivered to their home. I personally enjoy home cooked food, but also enjoy experiencing the food of different cultures, although I am not great with very spicy food!
Music: I enjoy a wide variety of music and have no particular passion for any genre.
TV: I like documentaries, science and nature and generally factual programmes, also politics. However, TV is not a very important aspect of my life, but if my client was interested in something I would be happy to involve myself in their area of interest.
Films: I enjoy Detective/ Thriller films,Suspense films and some horror. Again, I am open to most general genres.
Books: This will be again similar to previous - detective/crime/thrillers. I do also enjoy autobiographies.
Days Out: I enjoy the countryside, walking, my cat, animals in general and also visiting restaurants/pubs/dining.
Other Interests: Politics, spending time with my 2 year old granddaughter and family.
