About the Client
Clients Name: Helen Hanreck
Food they like: Mum likes spicy. Dad likes bland and has to be pureed.
Music: Old sing a long swing from 40's and 50's. Classical and opera
TV: Old films, old series such as Colombo, Frasier and Murder She Wrote. They also watch the daily News. Countryfile and nature documentaries. No Soaps!
Films: Old films
Days Out: To local country parks.
Details:
24 hour live-in care for 91 year old dad and 92 year old mum. Dad has mild and non-challenging Alzheimer's. Mobile with frame but needs prompting for everything. He normally sleeps like a baby for 12 hours. He has a bedroom downstairs with ensuite shower room.
Mum has compromised mobility due to a recent mild stroke. She has slept downstairs since then. She wakes once or twice a night to go to the loo for which she needs assistance. A bedside commode is provided for this purpose.
Both will need daily personal care. Both use dad's ensuite shower room.
Some home-cooked meals would be appreciated although dad must have all meals pureed (to death!).
Facilities are provided for the carer as follows:
Small Bedroom with double bed and chest of drawers.
Shower room, which will also be used by the family when present.
Upstairs lounge area with TV and wardrobe hanging space, sofa and table.
Garden with patio.
