Position: Part‑time / Full‑time Carer
Location: Weldon / Corby (North Northamptonshire)
Start Date: As soon as possible
We are seeking an honest, compassionate, reliable, and punctual carer to support my elderly father in his home. The ideal candidate will have a caring nature, good communication skills, and experience assisting with personal and medical care.
Responsibilities Include:
Catheter & Medical Support (Essential)
Assisting with catheter care, including:
Identifying and managing blockages
Performing syringe flushing / washouts
Monitoring for signs of infection or discomfort
Collecting and managing prescriptions
Supporting hospital and GP appointments, including transport and companionship
Monitoring general health and raising any concerns promptly
Personal & Household Support
Light cleaning and maintaining a tidy home
Occasional meal preparation
Assistance with daily routines to support safety, comfort, and independence
Requirements:
Must be reliable and punctual
Experience with catheter management, including flushing/washouts
Previous care experience (professional or private) preferred
Respectful, patient, and trustworthy
Ability to maintain dignity, privacy, and confidentiality
Driving licence helpful but not essential
