Food they like: As i live alone and there are takeaways within a short walk of my home i tend to use these when i can't be bothered cooking for myself.
Music: 60s and 70s pop
TV: Factual proreammes and some films
Films: Various
Books: Not these days i prefer newspapers and internet
Days Out: Unfortunately as i don't have any family it's mainly shopping for which i use taxis as i stopped driving last year due to an eyesight problem.
Other Interests: cryptic crosswords, d.i.y jobs (when able), playing chess against a computer on my laptop plus watching football, rugby, cricket on tv as i used to play all when younger
Details:
I'm a white English bachelor ex-businessman aged 72 with a young friendly outlook cheerful disposition living by myself in my own private property in South Birmingham and was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis over 20 years ago. I can get around unaided at home but need a stick when outside to walk. I take daily medication which keeps my arthritis in check most of the time but there are odd occasions when in pain that i may need help at home with light housework ie vacuuming, tidying up, local shopping etc but no cooking is required. When this occurs it helps to have "Deep Heat" or similar applied to the area. As i live alone with no close family and i'm very chatty it would be nice just to have companionship preferably with a female of any age, nationality or religion and there is no objection if you prefer someone to accompany you. Also my rheumatologist advised me to keep my legs moisturised. I can pay cash in hand at each visit minimum £18 - £20+ per hour plus travel expenses.
